Lining Marshall's tree shaded streets are an abundance of 19th century homes in a variety of architectural styles. The tranquil neighborhoods boast of a bygone era with homes that have wrap-around front porches, cupolas, stately columns or whimsical gingerbread trim! Year-round events include a New Year’s Day auction, a quilt show in March, celebration of Michigan Week in May and, in July, there’s the Fourth of July BBQ, “Cruise to the Fountain” car show and “Welcome to My Garden” tour. In August, Marshall is home to the oldest county fair in Michigan. Fall events include the Scarecrow Festival, Harvest Festival and the Cranefest in October, with the year culminating in Marshall's famous Christmas parade, Merchant’s Christmas Open House, and a Candlelight Walking Tour of gracious and beautiful homes. A beautiful city to visit!
